Some couples wouldn’t even consider having a Seattle wedding in the fall. But for Mariah and Alex, it was a part of their vision! The forecasted rain didn’t stop these cuties from celebrating their love in October. Even more special was that the ceremony and reception were hosted in their parent’s backyard. This wedding experience was truly an honor to capture. There were so many beautiful moments that it was hard to not share them all in one blog!
Located right outside of Seattle, Washington is a family-owned Christmas Tree Farm. Mariah and Alex chose to have their couple portraits done at this location. It’s a Northwest favorite that hosts weddings year-round. Having both a lodge and barn option, this venue is suitable for a rustic or romantic-style event.
I went to high school with Mariah and hadn’t seen her in years. She and Alex had come back to the area to visit and asked if we could do a photo shoot. Soon after, Alex proposed. At the end of the shoot, they took me out to lunch and asked if I would be their wedding photographer! We vibed immediately and our energy just matched.
Truly, they are one of the most in-love couples I’ve ever met and are passionate about their people and church. Which is exactly what they wanted to have documented! A representation of divine love and their outpouring of community. Everyone gathered in their parent’s backyard for their beautiful wedding in the fall. Even the sky became clear almost instantly as we stepped outside for their first look and group photos.
